Hello Everyone:

This has been an interesting year. As vice-president, I stepped in to do the presidency duties as our past president resigned Dec. 2021. The stress of covid has taken its toll in many ways. I now take on the title of President.

June continues to support me in the work that needs to be done. I also have the help of Patty, which I am very grateful for. We have not had a yearbook during the time of Covid (years 2021-2022) so, it is my privilege to be able to update us in this new yearbook. We have had a wonderful year (2022) of getting back into the swing of things. We welcome new members to our board: Marc. Bilz, Nijole Cherkas, Kim Magee, and Marie-Claire (MC) Robson. The exciting thing about these new members is that they are stepping up to take on some of the jobs needing to be filled. I continue to thank those board members who keep working diligently in the jobs they have taken on. Thank you to Betty Mitchell for organizing our speaker list again for 2023 and for Nancy Mountford for keeping track of our membership. Thank you Lucille Fowler and Marc Bilz for organizing a wonderful Garden Tour. We were also able to honour Donna McInnis this year as our 'Canadian Garden Hero' for her work in organizing the planting and maintaining of the Victoria Manor Gardens.

We look forward to a wonderfully productive year ahead.

- Lena Wilms
